Martina Almgren & Laura Macdonald Laura Macdonald - alto sax Martina Almgren - drums Paul Harrison - piano Aidan O´Donnell - bass Musical chemistry is hard to predict, but when Almgren and Macdonald brought their musical ideas together for the first time, they found that they fitted almost hand to glove. Harrison and O`Donnell also understood instantly how this new music would work best. They got together to rehearse in an old school in the Scottish Borders town of Biggar, and instantly felt rapport. At the start, it came as a surprise that there was such comfort between music and musicians, and this translated quickly into musical development. By the end of their first tour, they had produced a unique band identity. When the organisers of the Goteborg Festival arranged a concert, the band was quick to add a recording session, so that they could document the freshness and the pleasure that they felt.
